Middle School Dance Important Dates

Welcome to Middle School Dance or Welcome Back!

We are really excited to dance with you this semester.

Dance Club Technique Semester 1

Dance Club Technique aims to help dancers improve their technical skills and build strength, flexibility and balance for success in dance.  The semester 1 show will culminate with a showing in the Elementary Theatre. No audition necessary.

6 dancers may dance in 1 dance*

Grade 7 dancers may dance in 1-2 dances*

Grade 8 dancers may dance in 1-3 dances*

*Depending on availability and the dancer's schedule

·             Dance Club Meeting:  Thursday, August 22 from 3:15-4:15 in S129

·             Sign Up Survey Opens Thursday August 22 (after meeting)

·             Sign Up Survey Closes Wednesday, August 28 at 6:00 PM

·             Dance Captain Auditions Friday, August 30 from 3-4:15 in S129

·              Dance Lists posted on the Dance Board September 2^nd

·             Rehearsals start after CWW on Monday, September 30

·             Dance Club will meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (depending on the dancer)

·             Dance Club Technique Showing in the Elementary Theatre Thursday, December 6^th at 4:00PM

·             Pizza Party will be in S129 TBA

Dance Club Performance Semester 2

Dance Club Performance aims to help dancers improve their technical and performance skills for success in dance. The semester 2 performance will be a fully costumed, loosely themed show.  No audition necessary; however, there will be auditions for advanced pieces to challenge our more technical dancers.
